Canuck Connections Networking Nights

Networking opportunities are a primary reason for joining a Chamber. The TCCC recognizes this need and works diligently to ensure its members are offered numerous opportunities to network and socialize.

The Chamber’s monthly networking event is called “Canuck Connections” and is traditionally held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month from 6:30-8:30 pm. These networking events are held at some of Bangkok’s most popular venues so make sure you get on the TCCC’s mailing list

The Chamber also conducts joint networking nights with other foreign chambers and the timing of these events may vary from the Chamber’s traditional “Canuck Connections” schedule.

Speaker Luncheons

TCCC members receive e-invitations to monthly speaker luncheon presentations which traditionally occur on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm and feature a diverse range of topics presented by experts.

These luncheons represent an excellent opportunity for members to keep current on general information in the region, or to gain in-depth knowledge about a particular sector or topic. In addition, these luncheons are an ideal occasion for meeting and networking with other influential business people.

Annual General Meeting

This is the Chamber’s primary business meeting of the year and is conducted at the end of February. During the AGM, the Chamber’s prior year operating results are reviewed and elections are conducted to form a new 12-member Executive Board to oversee the Chamber’s operation for the next 12 months. The March “Speaker Luncheon” follows this meeting.

A quorum of 25% of the TCCC’s ordinary membership (excludes affiliate members) is required for the AGM to proceed, according to its Constitution. The Primary or Alternate member(s) must attend and Proxy Voting Form can be provided. However, proxies are not counted in determining a quorum. This is an annual meeting that all TCCC members should support.

Business Excellence Awards (BEA) – Every two years

This evening event occurs every two years during the last week of May and runs from 6:30-10pm and celebrates the success of the Chamber’s Business Excellence Award (BEA) winners.

The Chamber’s BEA event is a contemporary celebration where the attendees are not tied to a dining table or burdened with long speaker presentations. Our celebration is about sharing the experiences of successful people and networking with friends and business associates.

The evening offers great jazz, plenty of socializing opportunities, short and involving presentations, free flowing drinks and an opportunity to leisurely dine on a wide array of heavy hors d’oeuvres.

The next Business Excellence Awards Event will take place in 2015.
