CRYSTAL BALL BUSINESS LUNCHEON

This CanCham flagship event promises to be a lively, interactive discussion during which business leaders will provide their perspective and outlook on the financial, political, communications and work/employment landscape for the year ahead. The key trends in various sectors of industry will be highlighted.

Held in the second week of January, the event provides ample opportunity for participants to share insights and ideas amongst peers in the business sector. The business luncheon is in the format of a panel discussion following a Q&A session.

WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP (WIL) CONFERENCE

CanCham’s core event supporting women in leadership since 2017, which occurs each February. This event focuses on bringing together women in business with public and private sectors, business professionals, and students to discuss contemporary topics of women in leadership. WIL includes panel discussions, mentoring and coaching sessions, and keynote speakers. CanCham is thrilled with the excitement and success of the first few years.

LEADERSHIP IN ENERGY INNOVATION

In this interactive luncheon session, leaders in a range of clean energy segments will provide both an overview of their solutions and a description of use-cases in Thailand and the region. As Canadian organizations continue to contribute to market-driven solutions such as renewable energy, blockchain and clean transportation, we see potential for Thailand’s development under the 4.0 model.

Join CanCham in early May to discuss relevant clean-energy and innovation topics and see how you can be a part of a renewable-energy future.

CANUCK CONNECTIONS NETWORKING NIGHTS

Networking opportunities are a primary reason for joining a Chamber. CanCham recognizes this need and works diligently to ensure its members are offered numerous opportunities to network and socialize.

The Chamber’s monthly networking event is called “Canuck Connections” and is traditionally held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. These networking events are held at some of Bangkok’s most popular venues so make sure you get on CanCham’s mailing list.

The Chamber also conducts joint networking nights with other foreign chambers and the timing of these events may vary from the Chamber’s traditional “Canuck Connections” schedule.

SPEAKER LUNCHEONS

CanCham members receive e-invitations to monthly-speaker-luncheon presentations which traditionally occur on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm and feature a diverse range of topics presented by experts.

These luncheons represent an excellent opportunity for members to keep current on general information in the region, or to gain in-depth knowledge about a particular sector or topic. In addition, these luncheons are an ideal occasion for meeting and networking with other influential business people.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

This is the Chamber’s primary business meeting of the year and is conducted at the end of February. During the AGM, the Chamber’s prior year operating results are reviewed and elections are conducted to form a new 12-member Executive Board to oversee the Chamber’s operations for the next 12 months. The March “Speaker Luncheon” follows this meeting.

A quorum of 25% of CanCham’s ordinary membership (excludes affiliate members) is required for the AGM to proceed, according to its Constitution. The Primary or Alternate member(s) must attend and Proxy Voting Form can be provided. However, proxies are not counted in determining a quorum. This is an annual meeting that all CanCham members should support.
