CanCham Thailand will hold its 2019 Annual General Meeting (AGM) prior to the first 2019 Canuck Connections Networking event, featuring Canadian Craft Beer Extravaganza. The event is scheduled at 16:30 on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok. The AGM offers an excellent opportunity for members to share your views and feedback, hear from the outgoing board about the performance of the chamber, and elect the new board that will help steer the chamber’s future activities.

Voting is restricted to one vote per company or individual members. Only Ordinary Members (corporate and individual) duly registered and paid-up with the Chamber before the AGM can exercise their voting right. If you have not paid your 2019 membership fees, please do so by Wednesday, March 6, 2019. Please call us immediately if you did not receive your 2019 membership invoice. A quorum of 25% of our Ordinary Members is required for the AGM to be properly constituted, according to Article 19.4 of the Chamber’s Constitution. Proxies held by members attending the AGM in place of other members shall not be counted in determining a quorum. Therefore it is essential that as many members as possible be in attendance.

TOM WALLER

FILM DIRECTOR AND PRODUCER

Tom Waller has been working in the film and television industry for almost 20 years, as a director, editor, producer and line producer. De Warrenne Pictures is his international motion picture film production company responsible for acclaimed independent movies that reach a global audience. With his “no frills” approach to film-making, he has consistently produced award winning films with high production values on a limited budget. Tom administers and manages the company as well as playing a pivotal role in managing production and location shooting.

Waller’s directorial debut began with Monk Dawson (1998), a story based on an award-winning novel by Piers Paul Read. He went on to produce the films Eviction (1999), Butterfly Man (2002), Ghost of Mae Nak (2005), The Elephant King (2006) and Soi Cowboy (2008) which was selected in Un Certain Regard at the Cannes Film Festival. His second directorial feature was Mindfulness and Murder (2010), a Thai language murder mystery based on the novel of the same name by Nick Wilgus.
