Description: Growth in the world economy is hitting a new stride, led by the U.S. and European economies. Perhaps the best sign of this is the seismic shift in monetary policy, from ultra-loose to a more normal stance. Emerging markets seem to be taking the cue, with early signs of economic revival popping up. However, at the same time, the sluggish growth of the past seven years has alienated and excluded vast swaths of the labour force, and given rise to a new and strong trans-globe wave of anti-institutional, anti-globalization sentiment. What are the prospects for economies like Canada and Thailand in such an environment? Does it inhibit or enhance our potential interactions? Hear a thought-provoking discussion of these issues in a lively and interactive session.
