BACKGROUND

 

David John Welsh is the Country Director for the Solidarity Center in Thailand. The Solidarity Center is an international NGO headquartered in Washington DC and operating in over 60 countries worldwide. The mission of the Solidarity Center is the promotion of the rights of trade unions, employees and migrant workers and in Thailand routinely engages with all supply chain stakeholders in the furtherance of worker rights and accountability. Mr Welsh was previously the SC Country Director in Indonesia, Malaysia , Cambodia and Bangladesh. He is a Canadian lawyer by background and holds two law degrees, an LLB and LLL.
