BACKGROUND
Peter J. van Haren has lived in Thailand since 1991, coming from Canada to act as the project manager on a nationwide TOT fiber optic project, for the Thai government concession holder Com-Link Co. Ltd. He stayed with them until 2003, after which he became CEO for the publicly listed company Wiik & Hoeglund PLC. He left “WIIK” in 2012 to join three partners in forming XPC Cross Pacific Consulting Co., Ltd. In 2016, Peter became a lecturer and later the Director of the International Studies Center of the King Mongkut University of Technology International College where he is currently teaching Business Ethics, Organizational Behavior, and International Business Strategy in the undergraduate program.
He is also a facilitator for the Institute of Directors, CEO of Pro-En Technologies Ltd., Partner and Chairman of the Board of Chosen Energy Co., Ltd. Peter has served two terms as the President of Cancham, was Chairman of the Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce of Thailand for 9 years, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trade of Thailand for 7 years, Advisor to ICC, Director of the Finish Chamber of Commerce, Advisor to the Chairman of the Thai Trade Representative Office (Kiat Sittheeamorn) and Advisor to the Minister of Industry (Pol. Gen. Pracha Promnok). He also hosts the weekly Thai language radio program “CEO Vision” on MCOT FM 96.5 and has done so for nearly 10 years.
