BACKGROUND

 

A seasoned people and travel professional, Scott has lived in SE Asia since 1999, when he moved to Thailand to co-found luxury travel company, Smiling Albino. There he designed life-changing adventures throughout Asia, before selling his ownership in the business in 2013.

He then transitioned to working in People, when he joined EXO Travel as their Director of People Development in 2016. There he was responsible for managing Training and HR teams across 10 countries for their 940 team members.

His latest pursuit sees him at Agoda, where he serves as an Organizational Strategy and Development Senior Consultant, working with stakeholders across the company, ensuring teams are developing and engaged.
 
As an ACC ICF certified coach, Scott also enjoys coaching individuals looking for insights and breakthroughs to find their next big thing. Other notable certifications include PHRi accreditation, and in 2011 he was a Fellow in the Asia Pacific Leadership Program at the East-West Center in Hawaii.

Scott also served as the Executive Director of the Malaysia Canada Business Council, has won an award for his community development work in Asia, and has served as a team building consultant for clients such as AstraZeneca and Tetra Pak. Personal pursuits include co-hosting a podcast talktravelasia.com, cycling, which has taken him to Mount Everest Base Camp in Tibet, and he’s run half-marathons in 5 countries.
