REGARDING THE USE OF THE CANCHAM THAILAND WEB SITE

The Thai-Canadian Chamber of Commerce (“CanCham Thailand”) is committed to protecting the privacy of internet users. CanCham Thailand has adopted guidelines which serve as the basis for our work on the website. These guidelines have been developed with the recognition that internet technologies are rapidly evolving, and therefore these guidelines are subject to change. Such changes will be posted on this page.

 

Below is information outlining our support for the responsible management of personal information. Please read the following terms and conditions relating to your use of the CanCham Thailand website carefully. By accessing and using the CanCham Thailand website, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Privacy Statement. If you choose not to accept the stipulated terms and conditions, please do not use this website.

 

PERSONAL INFORMATION AND WEB SITE LOG FILES

During the process of delivering web pages and advertisements to visitors of our website, CanCham Thailand does not actively attempt to collect any personally identifiable information about you such as name, address, phone number, or e-mail address, other than as may be explicitly requested.

 

The host service provider where the website is located does keep log files with some non-personally identifiable information about your internet session, such as the internet service provider you use to connect to the internet, your web browser type, or the type of computer operating system you use (Macintosh or Windows, for example). Additional information may also be recorded about which pages are viewed, where you browsed from, and where you browsed to when you left the site.  If you sign on to the site as a CanCham member, using your member ID and password, then that information may also be recorded, together with the session data described above. These log files will be accessible only to CanCham Thailand and to the service provider hosting the web site. However, neither CanCham Thailand nor the service provider will extract any member-specific information from these files.

 

All information retrieved from these files by CanCham Thailand will be in aggregate form so we can better understand the type of individuals who use our web site and learn how we can better serve the needs of our users; for systems administration and troubleshooting, and for measuring the effectiveness of site content. CanCham Thailand may provide parts of this aggregate data to third parties that assist CanCham Thailand in carrying out its endeavors.

If any information that you are asked to volunteer will be used in any non-aggregate form, this will be clearly indicated on the page requesting that information.

 

COOKIES

The site currently uses cookies only in the Discussion Forums. Although the Discussion Forums are part of the site, they work independently of the main database, so users are required to specify their preferences for certain Discussion Forum features. Consequently, for many of these features to work, you will need to enable your browser to accept cookies.

 

E-MAILS

Messages sent to CanCham Thailand via the website’s e-mail hyperlinks or feedback pages are not encrypted and may be viewed by CanCham Thailand. CanCham Thailand is not responsible for the use of e-mail messages sent to any recipients other than CanCham Thailand via the website’s email hyperlinks.

 


 

CANCELLATION POLICY

Reservations not cancelled within 3 business days of the event will be considered as a no-show and will be invoiced. If the event falls on a Monday or is immediately preceded by a holiday, cancellation is required by the previous business day.

 

EXAMPLE: Food & Wine event is scheduled on Monday, May 28, 2018.  The client must make the cancellation by Thursday, May 24, 2018.

 

REFUND POLICY

To request a refund, please email [email protected].  Your email should include:

  1. Your information: name, company and contact details
  2. Name of the event that you booked
  3. Number of ticket(s) that you purchased
  4. Proof of payment

CanCham Thailand will respond within 2 business days and refunds can take up to 5 business days to show on your account (up to 14 business days outside Thailand).

 

Refund Amount: All refund amounts are subject to a mandatory 10% service fee.
