26 July Shama Sukhumvit
Shama was founded in 1996 and is recognized acrossAsiafor creating residences with a distinct personal touch. With around 2,000 units, Shama is a premier provider of luxury and boutique service apartments inAsia. Each of Shama’s branded properties across the region reflect the company’s passion for chic homes that exemplify quality, style and unparalleled customer service. Shama is currently expanding across China and to the major gateway Asian cities like Bangkok.
Shama Sukhumvit, Shama’s first property inThailand, is a celebration of modern living coupled with Shama’s reputable signature service and world renowned Thai hospitality. It offers 90 contemporary designed serviced apartments (one, two and three bedrooms) and it’s located in a prestigious residential area among fashionable restaurants, stylish shopping centres in the heart of the Central Business District with a Skytrain station only a short walk away.
This unique “resort within a city” meets the refined standards of business and leisure travelers alike. Amenities include tropical gardens (awash with flora & fauna), an extensive clubhouse, an Infinity rooftop swimming pool, a fitness centre, a kids’ area, as well as yoga and meditation rooms, which all combine to make Shama Sukhumvit a true retreat away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
But best of all Shama has everything you’ll need to complete your work and go about your business without having to even leave your apartment. First, there’s complimentary wi-fi and broadband access, which obviously you’ll need. There’s also an iPhone docking station with a speaker and alarm clock.
Each unit has its own Electrolux washer/drying machine, and there’s a fully-equipped kitchenette featuring a toaster, stove, microwave and a full-size fridge so you can prepare whatever meals you want to. Your balcony can even be fitted with a BBQ if you so desire.
In the larger suites, there’s a LCD TV with international programming in both the living room and the bedrooms, so you can watch either while either lounging around on the sofa or from the comfort of your bed. There’s also a DVD player with USB ports and a stereo hi-fi system.
There’s an in-room safe to store your valuables and precious documents; and daily maid service, even on Sundays and holidays, with a towel and linen change twice a week if you are staying for an extended period of time. There’s also a professional laundry and dry-cleaning service on offer.
The Shama Den is also a good place to unwind as it contains a pool table as well as PlayStation 2 for the kids. There’s also a complimentary VCD/DVD library.
Then for those who want to get out and about, Shama provides a complimentary breakfast on the ground floor, which will help you start your busy day. The Skytrain is literally a seven-minute walk away, either the Nana or Ploenchit station. Many hotels and serviced apartments say they are within walking distance of a Skytrain stop, but once you get there, you find that’s hardly the case. They can be at the end of a long soi, serviced by cranky motorcycle taxi drivers who may only pick you up at their discretion and if you walk out, particularly in mid-day, you may be soaked in sweat before you reach a main traffic artery. Not so with Shama, the BTS really is a hop, skip and jump away.
Shama hides behind the JW Marriott hotel on Sukhumvit. That hotel features many fine F & B outlets, including one ofBangkok’s best bakeries – The Bangkok Baking Company. Then across the street from Shama lies the Ploenchit Centre, which features a Starbucks and a McDonald’s. You get the point, if you get cravings, you don’t have far to stroll. Then one ofBangkok’s most hyped nightspots,NanaPlaza, is right behind Shama on Sukhumvit Soi 4, and the back entrance to Shama leads directly onto Soi 4 and its myriad of nightclubs, bars and restaurants. Despite the din rising up from Soi 4 late at night the double-glazed glass on the Shama’s suites keeps the noise out, so you can have your fun and sleep too.
Shama Signature Living combines style, service, location & lifestyle. It provides a true sense of living comfort with personalized services to suit the individual lifestyles of its residents and families. There’s even a “no boundaries” privilege lifestyle program, which introduces residents toBangkok’s hidden gems, whether they be dining, partying, shopping, pampering, escaping or relaxing.
